About Us
The mission of the CSC is to provide a positive learning environment for
area youth soccer players who seek a more competitive level of play,
utilizing
trained and experienced coaches which will allow players to develop
their soccer skills
to their highest potential, while
at the same time encouraging a love for the game for both
the player and the community.
The CSC is a non-profit, tax exempt, 501c3 youth
soccer organization; run and operated by a membership-elected, volunteer
Board of Directors.
The
emphasis of the CSC is on player development; both the individual player
and the team towards the goal of reaching a competitive level of
play at both the Select Soccer
(MYSL) and the Michigan State Premier Soccer Program (MSPSP) levels.
Many of the high school age CSC players are Varsity starters and
continue on to play soccer at the collegiate level.
Team selection of an
appropriate division is based upon the individual team’s overall ability to compete
and grow as a team. Domination or the inability to compete at a particular division is
discouraged. Training
will be provided by USSF or UEFA licensed coaches.
Competition will
consist of playing in competitive soccer leagues, State Cup and participation in tournaments officially recognized by the MSYSA
or USYSA.
All CSC
teams train and compete at Springfield Plains Elementary
School and Clintonwood Park Fields during the fall and spring outdoor seasons
and at local indoor soccer facilities during the
winter months.
