U9/U10/U11/U12 Rule Modifications

U9/U10 (6v6) Rule Modifications

  1. Offside rule is not inforced
  2. No goal kicks- game is restarted with Goalkeeper possession and keeper can throw, punt or dribble ball back into play.
  3. The pass-back rule to the GK is not enforced.
  4. When the ball completely passes over the touchline the game is re-started with a throw in from the spot where is crossed the touchline.
  5. The goalkeeper, after handling the ball (within his own penalty area) may not punt the ball over the halfway line. ie; if the GK punts the ball it must bounce at least once before crossing the halfway line.However if the GK does not take the ball into his hands first he may kick the ball over the halfway line.Violation of this rule will result in a throw in by the opposing team at the intersection of the halfway line and the touchline. 

6   All player must be 8 yards from the ball on a free kick

7    All free kicks are indirect ( except penalty kicks)with the opponents at least 8

       yards away according to item 6 above.

8        Penalty kicks may be awarded (according to FIFA Laws) and will be taken 8 yards from the goal line at a point that is centered on the goal. *Penalty kicks are awarded for one of the 10 direct free kick offenses committed by a defender against an opponent in his/her own penalty area.

   

     9      Kick offs to start a half or after a goal is scored ; opponents must be 8 yards from

            the ball. A goal may be scored directly from a kick off.

 

10     Corner kicks will be taken and in the absence of  field markings, the ball should

 be placed  within two feet of the corner of the field. A goal may be scored  directly from a corner kick.

 

 

U11/U12 (8v8) Rule Modifications

1.          The offside rule is enforced. 

2.          Goal kicks- according FIFA Laws

3.          The pass back is enforced according to FIFA laws

5.          All player must be 8 yards from the ball on a free kick

6.          Law 12 Fouls and Misconduct; free kicks will be direct or indirect according to FIFA Laws.

     from the ball. A goal may be scored directly from a kick off
